Unlike large towered airports, Hicks Airfield offers a traffic pattern where student pilots can focus entirely on flying without the cognitive overhead of continuous ATC communication. Our Hicks Airfield campus offers the full Parrish Aviation training ladder:

• Discovery Flight (T67) — First-ever flight lesson over Fort Worth. One hour, your hands on the controls. Applies to PPL.
• Private Pilot License — Part 141 curriculum. Minimum 40 hours. Includes solo, cross-country, and night flying.
• Instrument Rating — Progress to IFR in North Texas's variable weather. CFII-led training with simulated and actual IMC.
• Commercial Pilot Certificate — Build to 250 hours and develop commercial-level precision for a pilot career.
• Multi-Engine Rating — Piper Twin Comanche training. Engine-out procedures. Multi-engine certificate for your logbook.
• CFI / CFII — Become a Certified Flight Instructor at Hicks Airfield and begin building hours toward ATP minimums.

Students can also transition to our Dallas Executive Airport campus (KRBD) for stage checks, ILS training, or on-site PSI Knowledge Testing and AME services.
